Today I went to Pragues other castle, Vyšehrad. Amazingly, there were very few people there. It was very tranquil. Admittedly there aren’t the same amount of things to be seen, but there are nice parks inside the walls. Great for relaxing and just enjoying the lovely weather. There was a nice old church and also a cemetery. A few other buildings, now of which seemed to be of interest. It was a pleasant morning which is what i needed. Maybe my grumpiness with mass tourism means i’m ready to come home and be grumpy, or that next time I should actually visit a country ending in -stan.
After the castle I went back towards town. I visited the dancing house, a Frank Gehry design. I really went there purely to take a photo and it was on the metro line I was near. I believe its an office building, but shows the modern side to Prague.
I might head back tothe old castle later if I get some time. Otherwise I’m off to Berlin for my final stop of this adventure. I’m not sure what I’m going to see in Berlin. Lots of history, thats for sure. I also have one fun childhood dream I’m going to do. I’ll save that for a surprise.
