Today was mostly a rest and relaxtion day, no plans just wandering around and taking it easy. I went back to Dubrovnik old town to see if its always busy. Yes it is. I then decided to go climb the tower just near Dubrovnik to get a great view of the city. It was either that or the dodgy gondola ride to the hills behind. The tower though gave a great view of the city. You’d like to think so as it was built there as a defensive watchpost and had things like canons inside to help defend the city.
Of course in true dubrovnik fashion I was charged to enter the tower. I’m glad they haven’t caught on with charging a photography fee here!
The rest of the day was relaxing in the quieter side streets. I have to share with you some words of wisdom from an american lady. Her comment was “Wow this place is beautiful, but how do they survive without a mall to go shopping in. I thought europe was modern”. Yes they still let them out and this lady was clearly a New Yorker also.
Anyway I’ll keep todays entry short and sweet. Tomorrow i’m in Mostar and that should be more exciting I hope!
