Today, I went for a drive down the coast to see Sveti Stefan. A name you’ll agree would be great for a masseuse or even a porn star.
Sveti Stefan is currently an exclusive hotel on a small island just off the shore, with a bridge connecting it to shore. To the right of sveti Stefan is a beach just for those who can afford a room on the island. Only guests are allowed on the island. Its a shame that a hotel owns the island. I’m probably surprised they don’t charge 10 euros for a day pass.
Its very nice and photogenic so i drove up to the top to get some more photos from the overcrowded by tour buses lookout. Everyone wanted to photographed with Sveti Stefan, sometimes alone, sometimes in a threesome. It was all very tiresome waiting for the people to clear so I could get an intimate photo of Sveti Stefan.
After Sveti Stefan and I shared a moment I went to visit the old town of Budva. Budva differs from Kotor, being right on the sea, much like this weeks to be visited cities of Dubrovnik and Split. Some lovely views of the crystal clear water around Budva, were lovely on a day the temperature was well above 30C. How times change, I’ll complain about the heat now and not the rain. Budva is also a much smaller town than Kotor, not that Kotor is big. Budva has the gold coast style apartments near the beach though that the russians apparently flock to.
So tomorrow I leave Kotor and Montenegro for Dubrovnik and Croatia. The next week will be Dubrovnik, Split and a bit of Bosnia in between. Time seems to be flying by right now.
